Tecnapuc
Nabinger designed, executed and supervised the work of the most modern film studios in Latin America, the Tecna PUCRS (recently used by Netflix and powered by George Lucas’ THX-IMAX). It was possible to certify the rooms with the most advanced acoustic system for movie theaters: the THX system, created by George Lucas. Five movie studios were designed for filming, three mixing rooms, one music recording room, and robust air conditioning systems serving the entire complex.
For floating walls, floors and ceilings, a central air conditioning system was designed with adequate acoustic attenuation in order to meet the NC-20 international acoustic insulation curve, which provides an extremely low background noise of only 20 db(a).
More than 12 acoustic descriptors were calculated and applied, such as: reverberation time, % of intelligibility of the word sti, ray tracing, spl map, loudness, clarity, d/r ratio, critical distance, c among others, thus complying with Dolby and THX-IMAX certificates.
MOVIE STUDIOS: Nabinger signs the ACOUSTICAL PROJECT and WORK of the MOVIE AND CINEMATOGRAPHIC MIXING studio of TECNAPUCRS, the largest and most modern movie studio in Latin America, with full compliance with the criteria of the THX–IMAX sound system created by George Lucas, the director of STAR WARS. It meets demanding acoustic criteria using three-dimensional acoustic prediction software, and specification and positioning of hot spots, sound sources (5.1) and loudspeakers.
