The noise of aircrafts taking off and landing at Salgado Filho Airport was the object of the master’s thesis in partnership with UFRGS and with the help of Coppe/UFRJ, and resulted in the publication of the master’s thesis: Measurements of Aeronautical Noise Within Area II of the Noise Zoning Specific Plan of Salgado Filho Airport, Porto Alegre / RS, 2005.
A reference today in Brazil in commercial aircraft noise and one of the first in-loco assessments of the noise zoning plan (PZR, existing today in all capital airports in Brazil).

In this study, the take-off and landing noise levels of more than 60 types of commercial aircraft were evaluated.
